Ok, the street light across from my house is out tonite, so it was unusually dark tonite. I glacned down at my seemingly dead HUD and low and behold, there was a faint glow on the windshield and the screen in the dash had a glow to it. I turned the car off, and they went away. Restarted, glow came back. It seems that power is there, but no numbers show up. Could my speed sensor be bad? Or is this just part of the dead HUD issue?

Thanks for the offer, but I have several HUD units and none work so I refuse to buy one from someone no matter how "well" it works.

Search the forums at 240sxforums.com. Some guys figured out a way to solder a new capacitor onto the HUD. I tried it just like his instructions said, and low and behold.... problem fixed!!!! I now have like 3 working HUD's. Its a super cheap fix too. I bought the capacitors for $4, and bought a small solder pen for like $15. Now I have like over $100 bucks worth of HUDs laying around. Its a must try!!!:D BTW, practice soldering before you try this, its an extremely small space that you have to work with.
