UNREAL..... Gumball 4000??

It's not gumball it's the "Players Run" they are going to be in Daytona tonight so I have GOT to go there and check it out. I'll try to take many pics.

I wish Ii would have had my cam, because oh my god, there's a hotel full of $100,000+ cars.. Lambo Mercialago, VT, Ferrari F40, 355,Porche tt, etc etc.......Oh my ****in god I want to get in my car and go all the way back to work. I talked to a guy in an NSX and he said they're racing from CA, to Miami. Teckademics were on hand, and a go fast bus outside one of the hotels. Go Fast seems to be the sponsor, theyre stickers on every car. Im gonna try to get there in the morning, but I have a feeling they are gonna be gone.

Looks like they're at it again. Some of the stories that these guys have to tell from last year's gumball 3000 are unbelievable, but they have video to prove it hehe. Arrests, jailtime, throwing dollar bills out of an F50 while being chased by cops, lawyers in every state, hired helicopter scouts and film crew, the list goes on and on. Some of these guys still have outstanding arrest warrants in some states (the european guys)...crazy

Yeah, that couldn't have been the Gumball. The 4000 is supposed to run from Miami to Hollywood I think. Bet it was sweet anyway though.

The gumball rally is pretty sweet. They stopped in Nashville last year and my friend went up to Opryland hotel and got to check out the cars and see 'em take off. The bastard somehow neglected to tell me :angryfire

In any case, it was pretty sweet because he took pictures and video of them launching..

but here comes the kicker...I bought the teckademics DVD that documented it, and I saw when they were leaving the Opryland hotel and I recognized it from the pics my friend took. Well, I started looking where they would have been standing and when Dado's M3 zipped by there he was standing there with his brother. Too cool

The DVD will be released this summer, and it'll be called "Mischief: Destroy".

Teckademics sent a crew on the Run to film it. The Porsche TT was driven by Dado and Dustin for Teck, and the Murcielago was driven by a friend of theirs. There was a few chases by the cops, and a couple over nighters, but everyone had a blast and it turned out great. LOTS of killer footage was obtained

The Player's Run is a combination of the Gumball and Cannonball runs. It was organized different to have a smaller group, but anyone thinking of entering should follow the links on http://www.playersrun.com

It's great that Dado got to go, especially with his M3 being stolen and all. I hear he got another 95 M3, any chance we might see that one in future cross-country runs?

As far as I know the people who organize Gumball aren't the same people that organized Player's Run.This year was a combo of them, but next year we might see the two events separate.

nice, we need a "poor bastard run" for the rest of us who have fast cars but can't quite afford 7,000 plus legal fee's for the race (but I know it wouldn't be as fun with a bunch of 400hp Nissan's).

how about the rental 1000, everybody has to drive a common rental car and can do any mods they've got the balls to do, run from miami to new york, and then turn the cars in at la guardia or something

Me and Ray have been talking about the Rental Ralley, teams must compete through a 'course' settup through some mud trails in cars they rent. We will have the 2.0 and under class and the 2.0 and over. Should be a lot of fun, if we all don't end up in jail

You can get the Gumball 3000 "Mischief: Destroy" online from KazZa as a "Backup" if you cant find yours :rolleyes Start the download at night and it will be done by morning (if you have cable, dsl, or above) If you want to convert it to VCD and watch it on your DVD player contact me @ Woodya2004 if you dont know how.

1: Mischief: Destroy isn't even out yet. The actual event has just ended, and the footage hasn't even begun the editing phase yet. But nice try. The Gumball 3000 is a year old, but I'm sure you knew that :rolleyes

2: Pirating is illegal you moron. If you can't afford a $12 DVD, then I'm sure the people at your local soup kitchen can lend you a shoulder to cry on.

Actually, see what I was doing is looking for some street are racing videos, like the ones that shot with a camcorder and put up online to get noticed with there ride. Well I just came across Gumball Mischief 3000 (I think its the one in Europe), and I remember them in Jackass (also downloading) so I just started downloading Gumball. And dude im 17, and dont work at a soup kitchen, and dont need a shoulder to cry on. I dont think theres anything illegal with downloading no copyrighted videos, not sure about Gumball.
