I have found a 1990 300x TT with 69K miles that is completely stock, has all maintenance receipts in a binder, garaged, non smoked in, two owner car that is bone stock with the exception of the radio and the rims (but it comes with original rims). It is unfortunately an automatic. Ultra red which is one of the two colors I like. What do you think this car is worth? Please don't say, "whatever someone will pay for it". I get that. I'd buy it in a heartbeat but I'd really like a manual trans. However, this car is so UNabused that I feel like it might be one to swipe up! 60K complete service, done at 63K. $8.5k

My opinion id be worth the 8k all day if it were an original manual trans. As an auto I see it closer to $6500. Great buy either way though because with that kind of documentation and super low mileage it will last a generation. The 1990's are both the best and the worst to own of all the Z32s. If you were to keep the miles low, like maybe just a weekend car, you may see the value hold or go up over time. Once the 90s get some considerable mileage they get problematic especially if its all original. That could also effect your resale value later if you care.
Wow, really $6500? I figured with all the high mile junk out there that it might be worth more. Any other opinions? What have you all paid for your TT Z?
Sorry to say given your response, but Marcyprojects is right on the mark IMO with his pricing, especially without leather seats.
I'd MAYBE go $7K if it ran like a raped ape and everything checked out A+, which is highly unlikely given the electrical connectors and old style injectors at the least.
The '94 and '95 are probably the most highly regarded among enthusiasts as they have all of the upgrades and still have variable valve timing, only downside IMO is the rear spoiler which IMO looks odd.
Still it's a great deal and in good shape it seems, so enjoy her!
It has Leather. But thanks for the response. And I have not bought it yet. Figured I'd ask some questions from those that know before I jumped in. I'm also going to look at a TT tomorrow that has been engine swapped after the original engine spun a rod bearing. The car is fairly heavily modified. Completely different kind of car form this one.

My 2c:
- macryprojects is right, the auto car in good condition with the miles is $6k-$8k depending on the location and how lucky you are.
- if you are willing to buy a swapped car (even if it started life as a TT) you better be willing to put in some wrench time because 80% of swaps are done by monkeys and you end up inheriting someone's headaches.
- MY general preference is to buy virgins and do what I need to (such as a 5 speed swap). this is what I recommend to everyone, always.

nolimit, I agree hence my interest in the Unmolested one. If it was a manual I would have bought it already.
I'm really looking for a TT to drive and have fun in and to use as a template for the 93 Vert I bought. The 93 Vert car has no engine in it and I have a JDM TT engine that I am going to rebuild. Thought having a TT to drive and use as a template would be nice to have! Wrench time is no problem as I am one of those monkeys you talk about but I need to be monkeying with the Vert and not the one I'm going to buy as a template.

Seems like a nice car for the money just less desirable being an auto. If you plan to drive the car and put a lot of miles on it it should be relatively trouble free and the value will rapidly drop as you add miles. If you plan to park it in a garage and only take it to shows you will win some trophies and the value might not climb for a while nor will it climb as fast as a manual but it will become more valuable in the future if it's left unmolested and does not see a lot of usage.
Stryker, when I say monkeys I mean the kind that do things half-assed. After spending countless hundreds of hours working on my Z32 I will tell you this DO IT ONCE, DO IT RIGHT, whatever it is that you'll be doing.
Yes, it the E39 is my daily driver and I love it. Not as fast as your V8 but I get better gas mileage! I just drove all the way to Pearland to look at the heavily modified 300ZX TT. It was not in good shape. as an aside, is there a Z Club in Houston? I think I'll make an offer on the car in the pictures above. See how much the guy is willing to come down. Too bad it is an automatic.
Again,I'm looking for a drivable template while I work on my Vert.

There is a small crew that rolls with Houston Z or at least used to, I don't generally participate in the "CLUB" thing because most clubs feel like high school all over again so I don't really follow any of the happenings, but maybe we could get something together for the Houston members as it seems Houston Z32 owners have been coming out of the woodwork lately.
Not looking for a high school vibe, just looking for some people that like the car, like to drive, and resources for tech knowledge and part acquisition.
Houston is so big, it took me an hour and a half to get to P
earland and that was at 10 in the morning!
I've heard about Houston Z. They are off of HWY 1960 correct? That is more up my direction. I've heard that Dane is a good place is you need work done. True?

Dane is a knowledgeable dude who built his business from the ground up. He's not cheap but from what I have seen he does do good work. You are correct, his place in off 1960. I'm getting ever closer to having mine running so perhaps I'll try to organize a day or weekend to cruise down to surfside or maybe up to Austin to go enjoy lime creek rd.
