Looks good. Wouldn't buy it. Anyone know of a Hyundai that has made it over 300k? If so it can't be pretty. They are cheap and you get what you pay for. Not as bad as KIA but not much better either. Can't believe someone actually tried to equate Hyundai to Nissan. Nissan isn't the best for build quality or reliability but honestly it really doesn't get any better than Nissan for the price tag.

Am I the only one who noticed that the rear quarter window looks hideous? Its completely killin g the window line. That needs to be fixed ASAP.

I kinda like it. It's unique and not a bad looking touch IMO.

Too much Toyota/Acura flavor. I like the old styles w/ the "gills" .. kind of made it fit the name. It's a nice flowing body though, I just wish it wasn't something I've seen before. Maybe in black... hmm..

Haven't heard of any 240sx's making it over 300k miles. How many gas fueled, turbo 4cyls do you know that get 300k miles out of them?

I think this car is badass. I'm going to be watching it closely and see if it's something i want to pick up as a daily driver in a couple years.

I like what this car is supposedly offering. Turbo 4-banger or V8 for under 30 grand? Can't go wrong at all with that. I'm glad that they did a redesign. Previous Tiburons looked too chubby and bulbous imo. However I'm not feeling those quarter windows or the fancy whatever-that-thing-is-called right below the windows. I'm also seeing a slight resemblance to the coupe versions of the Nissan Altima, Pontiac G6 and Honda Accord. It also looks like what a Lexus ES coupe could look like if they ever made one. I just hope that this thing lives up to all the hype surrounding it and is a solid performer. Maybe it will knock some sense into Japanese car companies, especially Nissan and Toyota. Hyundai better not **** this up in any way. They've got a good thing going here. It would be sad to see this car dogged by reliability issues or any other problems Hyundai is known for.

All in all for a Hyundai, it's not bad at all. It's got potential for sure. I will definitely be keeping an eye on this. Can't wait to see one in black.

dude, its an opinion based on a car company that has no reputation for making fast cars or cars that handle well. I know they are planning a formula one team for 2010, and they have racing teams, so they have a good start, but first run cars are usually not the best. Dont say the tiburon is NOT a first run car cause i know they have been around for a while, but i think this is the first RWD and turbo. It was meant more as a joke btw...

I came into this thread only after gathering my wits and courage in preparation for the possibility that I might be forced to say I liked a Hyundai's styling.

Lucky for me, all was for naught. That thing is terrible looking. In fact it's so bad looking I'm disappointed I didn't get to make one of my "look how ugly this car is!" threads before Jookmasta posted this one up.
HashiriyaS14 wrote:LOL, why are people not excited about this, because it's a Hyundai and not a Nissan?
I think no one is getting excited about it because they are all afraid to be let down. I think Hyundai has the ability to do this right. However, they also have the ability to screw the pooch. Time will tell.As others have said, it would be fantastic to see this car succeed and live up to everyone's expectations for a lot of reasons.

Personally, however, I can't get excited about ANY 2 door turbo 4. But one that looks like that is especially un-appealing.

EDIT:My negativity got the best of me:

Profile shots definitely aren't looking too good. I didn't notice those things till you pointed them out (guess you have to zoom in). Looks like a bodyshop guy's worse nightmare?

Anyone have shots of the front/rear straight-on?

Actually I was just looking at the picture some more.

well MoD as usual, ur eyes definitely pick up more than mine and i guess it's not until someone points the flaws out that u sometimes just "look over" them. The styling is definitely NOT what the hype of this car is based off. But i can now understand why someone may not want to buy this car. Though your critiques are sound and well thought out, there's ALOT of things that could've been done worse. The main thing I was happy to see gone was the gunmetal/ebay special gas lid but the crooked rear quarter glass seems to be some sort of tiburon trademark. I think it's been present since the first gen tiburon iirc.

Anyways, i'm sure there will be plenty of after market front bumpers for this car so the front bumper aesthetic issues can be solved. The rear quarter panel is well.......um.........yea not sure what to say lol. As for the rear bumper, the lights are g6'ish and believe it or not ALOT of the people on the goat forum where i first saw this said the same thing. They called it a RWD G6 to be exact. Nonetheless, i think the aesthetics are a small price to pay if the handling and engine come out to be what we want it to be.................

imagine by some bizarre twist of fate and taste.. that suddenly Hyundai rules the import community and KDM spec becomes the new hype??!

instead of having wakaba badges we have different varieties of instant noodle decals...

and instead of being loud.. crazy (those japs are insane) .. anime styled lifestyle.. we all fall into a craze of beige colored clothing, emo.. and uber romantic attitudes and all having 3 way love triangle relationships commonly found in every korean drama.. and all of a sudden all the guys want to have long hair and look like girls.. and the girls love them for that.

if that happens.. kill me.

i think we all need to l hope it does good regardless if we buy one are not because if its successful, other companies ( nissan, toyota ) might come out with some entry level rwd sports cars ( or maybe revive some old ones )

Looks like a G35 rear-ended a Celica. Hyundai, some of the ugliest cars to pollute the road since AMC.

Hey, I'll bet that that is one of the ones that was at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. One of my buddies went to it and got all kinds of crazy pics of new cars that aren't on the market yet.
