unlocks itself

I used a 2002 Qx4 which has a smooth ride and pleasure on all aspect except that of recent I discover that it unlocks it's doors automatically when I lock it with either it's factory remote or key, even while driving I lock my doors with the power lock button inside but after few minutes it unlocks itself again and we keep repeating ourselves over and over again right inside the moving vehicle , I've tried the local engineers but they couldn't help me out, pls I need your advise on what to do

I had the same symptoms (but I think the chances that its the same problem are slim)

Anyway, the button in my key fob was malfunctioning in such a way that if you shook it, it would unlock the doors.


Maybe try taking the fob off for a while and try driving for a few days.

My solution was new fobs.

I went for an after market remote car starter that came with remotes
(Viper 5901)

Mine was doing the opposite. The car would randomly lock itself, and sometimes I would get stuck inside. As soon as i hit 'unlock', it immediately locks itself, and this could go on for a good 15 - 20 seconds. Not fun, especially when you leave the car running to get something from the house...
