Unlocking doors using remote keyless entry (Not intelligent key)

This question is for those of you with the remote keyless fob, not the intelligent key.

On my 08 Versa SL when I press the Unlock Button once, the driver door unlocks and the interior light turns on, but I don't see the hazard warning lights flash at all, same thing if i press the unlock button twice (to unlock all doors).

Does this happen to your Versa? Thanks

On page 3-8 of the Versa Manual it says

Pushing the Unlock button on the keyfob once.

- Only the driver door unlocks.- The hazard warning lights flash once if all doors are completely closed with the ignition key in any position except on the ON position- The interior light turns on and the light timer activates for 30 seconds when the interior light switch is in the DOOR position with the ignition key in position except the ON position.

Mine don't flash either, but they do when I lock the car.

I think this is one of the settings/options on the keyless entry that can be reprogrammed.

Maybe the manual was meant for the sedan version and not the hatchback? If this is the case they forgot to distinguish the two. Either way someone messed up.

On my '08 SL, i can have the car running and use the remote to lock/unlock the car.

When the car is off and I lock it, the lights flash. When i lock the car, all doors lock. When i unlock once, the driver door unlocks. When i push it twice, the rest of the doors unlock.

When I got mine I had one of the service reps show me how to change the setting for the lights/horn when you lock/unlock. I can't remember how he did it but i'm sure that your service center would gladly help you get it taken care of.

I have the 2008 sedan and the lights flash once for each key press when I am unlocking.

I just went out and tried mine. '07. Flashes hazard when unlocking pressed once, flashes when pressed twice, flashes and beeps when locking.

+ 1 and if that doesn´t work try keeping pushed the button 2 or 3 seconds... its a feature that you can activate or deactivate

Ok so i figured out that if you have the HORN beep turned ON (when you press lock, the horn beeps telling you all the doors are locked) then when you unlock your doors you will see your hazard lights flash.

If you have your HORN beep turned OFF (when you press lock, the horn does not beep but two hazard lights flash to confirm they are locked) then you will not see your hazard lights flash when you unlock your car.

you have to press both lock and unlock button at the same time for a few seconds until it beeps.

what does that light indicate? I still dont get what its suppose to show me when it flashes.

Its suppose to tell you that you have successfully unlocked your door, but if you have the HORN feature off... the light doesnt flash when u unlock the door! (at least thats what happens on my versa)
