Unknown Line

where does the line go that bolts directly to the coolant elbow that is under the CAS? I thought it was a coolant line that went to the turbo but i was told it wasn't. thanks.

There is no line that bolts there.

There is only the coolant burp hole that has a bolt.

The turbo coolant line comes from the heater hoses in the back of the motor.

line with a banjo type atachment? if so it is a turbo coolant line

yeah its a line with a bolt that goes through it, i think its called a banjo fitting ill take a pic tomorow. its a s14

There are two, one is oil the other is coolant. If it is coming out of the SIDE of the turbocharger, then it's coolant, if it runs to the TOP of the turbocharger then it is oil feed.

sounds like the coolant line to me. it is a m14 bolt with a 1.5 pitch.

btw, the oil line going into the block is a m12 bolt with 1.25 pitch

i am positive it is a coolant line because it is atteached to the coolant elbow that is under the CAS. maybe its only on S14's but i know its there. i think mine is pinched shut but i just wanted to know what it is for. i havent traced it back to where it goes becuase it goes behind the turbo somewhere, maybe ill found out where it goes when i pull the motor.

the fitting is circles in red, this is the only pic i have on the comp, but this is the line where it bolts to the coolant elbow

Likes like there was a aftermaket water temp sensor there or something?There Iv never seen a hole for anything like that stock on a coolent elbow.And that 10mm bolt is to hold the Oil dipstick in place.

ne1 here have an s14 without that line on it bc i think this line is only on a s14 motor bc ive heard from many s13's that there isnt a line there and its a stock line, it hasnt been added.
