So as we've been going through the Z and finding all sorts of wonderfully broken or maltreated parts, we stumbled across something rather perplexing.

It's a little tough to spot in this picture, so I put a pointer to it. Does anyone have thoughts on what the heck this might be?

maybe one of the coolant lines. cant even look at mine cause i got rid of a lot of the lines in my bay so they run in different places.

Here is a better picture of the hose in question. Thanks for the earlier thought, and it might be cooling related but I'm a bit wary. Does anyone else have ideas?

Looks like a vacuum line, I doubt anyone but you can trace the source of it. See where it goes!

Spray some carb cleaner into it while the engine is running. If the engine speed increases, you have a vacuum leak :)

Aha, I will try this tomorrow. Thank you!

Unfortunately it's damn hard to try and trace this line, due to the position of it. It almost seems like it runs about 2" and then goes right into the block somewhere, but I can't tell for sure as it feels like there are a bunch of similarly sized hoses clustered together right at the furthest point I can reach.

I'm starting to think this has something to do with an EGR deletion that was done on the car. Now I'm concerned about finding out just what needed to be done to do that _right_, as I'm sure it wasn't done properly.
