I'm finally finishing up my BSEE and had to transfer to a university to do it.
Their base rate/credit hr: $253.70
* 13hrs that I'm taking (8 within the school of engineering) = $3298.10
...But my total fee (not counting the $200 parking pass) is $4099.55 so far.
Campus fees, technology fees, and extra fees per credit hr for pretty much every single school.

College of Liberal Arts and Sciences $0.00
Edwards Campus $43.45
School of Architecture $40.50
School of Business $108.55
School of Business (master's) $89.35
School of Education $21.70
School of Engineering $43.45
School of Engineering (Edwards Campus) $48.70
School of Journalism $17.50
School of Law J.D. or LL.M. $224.20
School of Law S.J.D. $1,000 per semester (fall/spring only) in addition to the Law School's $224.20 per credit hour.
School of Music/Arts $21.70
School of Pharmacy $167.00
School of Social Welfare $29.80

^That's ridiculous! Apparently the more you will make outside of school, the more of a premium they charge you. Sorry liberal arts majors, but you aint makin' squat.

By "Edwards campus", are you referring to University of Kansas? I imagine the differences in credit hours costs have to do with the differing requirementsfor each degree. But as far as what is a reasonable amount, it's relative. you might complain about $4100 being a lotta money, but that's a bargain compared to some of the schools I've looked at for my son.

Yes. Despite KSU being a better school engineering wise, I'm going to KU because it's closer.

$4100 for 13hrs seems a bit high IMO ~315/hr, but KU did give me a ~$1200 grant on top of my military assistance, federal grants, etc... I'm pocketing a few grand this semester, so you may want to look into what options are out there for your son, assistance wise. Maybe joining the national guard? Target also has a good tuition reimbursement program.

Trust me, I'll be looking for assistance ;) . But I won't be as worried if he chooses a PA state school instead of a private one. I had sticker shock when we visited Drexel.

The cost of education costs so much. And a 200$ parking pass :0 that better be for the whole year. I thought 75/semester was bad. It's a big risk to take to the people that don't make it.

That's to be expected, but the price to buy is higher than I expected.
~180 for calc (but I'll need it for calc 2 also. Maybe calc 3 but prob not)
My other two books I rented for ~$120

That is the whole year. If it wasn't for the fact that I want to work out (the parking lot is at the rec) and thus need a bag with books and a bag with clothes/shower stuff, I would have skipped it and parked off campus. It's a 13-14min walk parking in the local neighborhood and around 10min for on campus parking. So I guess I can look at the parking permit as being like a gym membership.

Haha, Lupe Fiasco and Jason Derulo came for our fall opening concert this year. It was $5 extra on everyone's tuition, no exceptions

Capacity was around 8,500 people in our basketball stadium. ASU has about 70,000 people I think? Oh yeah, each student could bring a guest as well. I and along with almost everyone else couldn't get in. There was literally a riot outside and cops were tazing people.

......That made sense.

Today, thursday, is Free Burrito At Chipotle Day if you show ID. Best free meal the school has handed out in years. Everyone got tired of cold pizza.

As the economy has worsened, I've been swamped with orders, finishing my best month ever. I suspect the unemployed are returning to school in droves.

Oh snap, Jesda. I forgot you were a bookstore. Hey, you think you could hook me up with some cheap books? I could pay you in pies.

My calc book was $220. A lot of other books there were about that too. My bio lab book was 75 too. What pisses me off most is that a new edition comes out every semester so there is little chance for a decent refund.

Yeah I completely forgot about that. I'll pay you in bacon. Just don't be a d!ck and wrap it in 42 layers of seran wrap and constuction tape haha.

It's his kryptonite. A bacon pie? By the term pie I picture a new jersey boardwalk 3 foot wide pizza 'pie'

I don't charge NICO members. The best time to hit me up is 1-2 months before the semester starts.

Inventory swells up throughout the year and then in August it all goes out the door. Despite having some help, I'm basically chained to my desk during the busy season.
