Universal Supercharger? Is this for real...

So when a person decides to research super chargers, specifically for the Altima Coupe on Yahoo's search engine, one will come across this page, http://www.engineperformancech...-p-16. The link before a person clicks it states the following: "Nissan Altima Supercharger" and the description reads the following: "Get more Horsepower and Torque. Electric Super Charger Kit 2.5 PSI."

All you have to do is type in "Altima Coupe super charger," without the comma of course, and that is what shows up. I read about it and it seems too good to be true. Is the possibility that this holds more cons than pros? Look at the cost. This is "ridonculous". I'm sure people are going to bash it right away or at least give myself and other interested forum members a look as to why this either is great, or why this is a waste of hard earned money! Thanks! May the debate begin.

I think the general concept's there, just perhaps not all the physical means to achieve what an actual supercharger does... Should bring some minor gains if they designed it right. I personally won't buy it though.

Wouldn't attaching a blow dryer to your intake that has a "cool" setting do the same thing,..as long as one is wearing the foil hat of course.

Sadly, you know somebody, somwhere has tried it to know how absurd and ineffective it is!

Reminds me back in the early days of "extreme" computer overclocking and benchmarking... Everybody tried anything and everything imaginable. My personal favorite was making a cooling duct out of garbage bags and duct-tape from a window-mounted air conditioner, across my room to where the side panel of the system-to-be-cooled should be... it worked! Now we have cascaded phase-change and direct-die LN2!

Dont get me wrong but it has nothing to do with a actual supercharger...Looks like a HASBRO airfilter with a mini RC engine attached to it.

Maybe we'll see this product on a Durcell comercial, then ill be a true believer....

Good concept though, i would hate to buy it and toast my engine.2.5L can only handle so much, bless its heart!
