I was wondering...

What parts are universal between the KA24 and the SR20 engine?

Currently I want to be able to put a new clutch and intake on my 1993 S-13, But i am planning in the future to do the famous engine swap. Iwas wondering if anyone has a list of universal modifications between the two engines and transmissions:help

Sorry, looked fer about an hour, even used that red search button at the top, and I found nothing. If its possible to drop a link here from the thread that is supposedly there, I'd appreciate it

Also, why would my breaks start squealing on and off constantly out of nowhere? It seems to be the in the left rear brakes, but It just started happenin out of nowhere. It sounds like its just a piece of metal rubbing up against the pad or something spinning in the rear, hopefully not the bearings?

are they UNIVERSAL though? between the SR20 and the KA24? Most importantly to me is the clutch and CAI that i want to put on my ka. Need to know if it will fit on the SR20 also.

call a dealership with the part number thats on the sticky, if they dont have it then it wont work.

or u could upgrade, CAI = cold air intake? or is it to early for me right now and i cant remember what that is.

Theres no way your cold air intake will fit without modification. The KA is non turbo so the intake comes off the throttle body. The SR is turbo so your intake comes off teh compressor inlet. Im sure with some hacksaw work you could make the intake fit, but its not universal.

Aight, Im planning on getting the HKS intake, for the KA. im assuming that the KA's intake is going to be longer than the SR's, so I wont need to do anything other than cut it down?

how about...just buy a SR intake when you get the engine? Same with exhaust, don't get any exhaust you would regret later because you got another engine. If its a long way down the road however and you have some money to burn...go for it!
