universal muffler

just recently got a s13....the muffler is stock but has a broken tip and sounds real bad...i was wondering if i removed the resonator and added a unversal fart can...would it sound loud and ****ty...does anyone have any suggestions?

if you have to replace the muffler itself, go ahead and get a magnaflow muffler can, then if you want get a place to fab u up some piping. shouldnt cost that much

What do you think of an ebay muffler, cout i just cut off the resonator and go straight to an ebay muffler? does any one know what they sound like or have any prefferences??

i heard.. w.o a resonator, cars w.o turbo sounds pretty raspy..

i'd keep the resonator.. just me.my resonator got a hole in it.. i went to mienke to get a quote on custom fabbed exahust.. they said it goes from $350 and up, i was truly surprised.

I would strongly urge you not to take out the resonator unless you have engine mods. My bro had his taken out because it was rusted through and after he did that the car was loud as hell with very little GO. Though if it sounds really bad now, then the resonator might be toast as well. just a thought.

I Wound not get a ebay fart can i had one and it split right around the rear of the muffler were it hooks to the car exuast. It sucked since i had to put the old muffler on the car.
