im cleaning up the engine bay even more...wire tuck is in process and im yanking manifold off to powdercoat. i dont want to put this crusty ka24e tb back on with all its nipples and whatnot.

i saw a few options on ebay and i was wondering if anybody has used or heard anything bad?

has anyone sucessfully removed all the IACV & AAC? i live in VA and i dont drive my car in the winter. i figured id have to make a blockoff plate and make adjustments via tb screw.

ALL FEEDBACK IS GREATLY APPRECIATED for my report

I kind of miss my AICV, I can live without the fast idle cold start stuff, but the AICV used to keep idle rock solid under all conditions.

ac aside, it would catch revs on rundown approaching a stop sign etc.

i might have to rethink yanking it...im not trying to have engine stall at stop lights.

Ive grown accustomed to an engine management system that keeps my revs rock solid without the need for crazy valves and things. Yay!

That throttle body looks good though.

and on the note of throttle bodies I would go with the 80mm vs. something larger. A larger throttle body is marketed as increasing throttle response etc. but in reality you are sacrificing velocity into the plenum and the opposite occurs.

i figured 90mm would be too big...might be decent for a bigger motor such as SR20. when i order this ill def post pics of it installed

only other thing that concerns me about TB is the extra spacer and throttle cable not being long enough.

i was looking at my ka24e tb last night and took it apart to clean/ repaint. im going to cut off coolant nipples and respray the aluminum tb pulley...save me some loot.

i havnt seen anyone else running this aluminum TB...i dont want to be the first lol
