I have a set of Firestone Wide Ovals on my '94 Q with about 12,000 miles. The rears will be used up this summer while the fronts have about half tread left.

Does anyone have experience with these tires? Is this typical?

Are the fronts wearing evenly across the tire or is the wear on the inside edge or outside edge only? Same questions for the rear. Since the rears are wearing out so quickly- How many miles on the rear struts? And front struts? The rear tires bounce and skid a lot during fast turns and acceleration on old struts (>60k miles) and I'm sure the same happens to the fronts but it's not as noticeable.

The wide ovals are a decontented version of the no longer available (except for Corvette runflats) but excellent SZ50 EP.

My advice is to upgrade your tire. Read the excellent tire sticky thread in Infiniti General.
