Hello GTR People, I'm a wondering 300zx owner and came across a picture of a R34 Z-tune. Those fenders come stock like that? I also saw a 350z With the same style fenders, are these custom or I can buy these too.

Those fenders are factory on the Z-Tune.

The story with the Z-Tune is that Nissan bought back some good condition R34 GT-Rs and turned around and sent them to NICO to be rebuilt and tuned. The Z-Tune was the final product.

Nissan did something similar in the late 90's with older Z cars. Buying some back and rebuilding them with some modern technology and reselling them as "New" Z cars. Was a neat idea at the time.

I think you meant to say NISMO not NICO haha. Althought it would have been awesome for NICO to build and tune them :naughty: .

Nismo also sold the Z-Tune fenders for the GT-R. We ran them on the World Challenge car.

There are a couple variations, some even a little more wild. Check out the Falken Nurburgring car, or the M-Speed R34 GT-R.

I am going to blame jet-lag on that typo. I was tired as hell all day yesterday and the fact that I had to work didn't help matters any. LOL.

They were selling for around $150k if I remember right. They were pretty damned expensive and you were put on a "waiting list" of sorts.

I have only seen one real Z-Tune with my own eyes. And it only lasted about 5 minutes. There was one at Daikoku Futo about two years ago. The guy was being mobbed by people who wanted to look at it. There had to have been about 50-some people surrounding the car and he got spooked and hauled a**. Some of the Porche/Ferrari crowd followed him out. The sounds coming down from the highway as all those cars headed back over the bridge was a symphonic orgasm.

Not the TMS Version. It would have been stripped and painted pink.

The old World Challenge car hasn't run on a track since the last time attack, back in 2008? 2007? 2006? Since then its only been parked and moved around. Right now its sitting in storage.

I will be at VIR with the DG Spec Scions.

The Z-Tunes, not likely to ever see one, although I have been offered a few at $150k-$200k.

If you want to bring it to VIR i would be happy to strech its legs for a bit... just knock the dust and rust off ... Good luck at VIR... you running any one car or supporting the whole class??

It cost us about $10k a weekend to take the car out, if you can come up with that, might be able to do something for you.

AT VIR I am crew on the DG Spec Scions that run in World Challenge touring car. Specifically I am car chief for Robert Stout #18. Mid-Ohio did not go so well for us, but the rest of the year hasn't gone too badly. http://www.world-challenge.com/index.php
