Does anyone have an idea what, aside from contact with another vehicle or hard surfaces, could cause paint on the door edge (not just outside, but also inside) from chipping. This happened with my G37 coupe about 3 months after delivery, and they repainted . . . on both doors . . . now it is happening again. I am EXTREMELY careful about not hitting the doors on anything and even have a handicapped permit that allows me to park very far from any other car. Yet, the paint is chipping/peeling, very similar to what is described in the photo for the original post. I am now awaiting the dealer to determine if covered by warranty (they did so before), but I don't want to be doing this every three months!

make sure the doors are aligned in the opening correctly, may loose hinges.

I have not heard any issues and I've not had any problems with my '08 coupe.
