Hi, all.

A last-minute urgent request to visit a customer and I am in Atlanta today (Alpharetta actually) after an overnight flight! I wish I had had some more notice - I would have tried to see if I could drive my Q out from San Jose and go and visit T3 and have them tell me the damage for a complete checkout! :)

Oh, well ... maybe I will see if I can find the time over the next few days to go visit at least.

Where is T3 located, by the way? I am staying in Alpharetta today and driving to Columbus later in the afternoon. Might be an interesting stop - if it is on the way!

T3 [S. Cobb Drive] is not much to look at [something like an old gas station with a higher building attached] Open at 7:30 AM Monday. You would be surprised at how much rent the landlord gets........location, location. The Decatur location is newer but extremely cramped! It is the experience of the techs you are buying, not the enviroment.

The facility [if we dare to call it that] is on Exit 15 [300' inside I-285], just South of I-285, on your way to Columbus if you take I-285 Westward around rather than going thru downtown to I-85 South..........probably adds 10 minutes at most.

There were at least 3-4 Q out back/side in various states of disassembly.Check out the Q45a just shipped in from the UK [still has the UK plates] for a complete R&R. What a hatchet job they did in UK at Nissan dealer.......never exported there............must have been a bear driving it in London with US [wrongside steering/sitting].

Anybody who's been there wouldn't call it a "mecca."

I did not get a chance to read the site posts on Sunday, so I did not swing by T3 on my way to Columbus. I am in Florida today (drove to Tampa this morning), and will be heading back to Atlanta on Wednesday ... I will see if I can make it there on Thursday morning before my flight out of the airport!

Thanks for the info, folks!

I'm planning a visit to T3 this August. I need my chain guides done. Driving my Q across the country from Spokane WA!

T3, from what I hear, is a shop where they work on Infinitis and Lexuses. Supposed to be the best of the best.

With 5 Infiniti dealers in Atlanta now compared to 2 when T3 [404-794-7700] began operation in 1995, many owners prefer a closer location to saving a little money. Plus the demise [lower sales volume] of the early Q means more and more of our business is Lexus............I can count on my fingers the number of LOCAL Q customers who could be considered enthusiasts [the ones who fix everything the moment it breaks]. We still get a lot of local referals for chain guides [dealers charge double].

The 97-01 Q owners seem even less interested in performance.

We are looking forward to the G35 but that's 2-3 years away when they need a 60k.

Unfortunately, I flew back to Atlanta from Tampa late at night and then flew out very early next morning - did not get a chance to go see T3.

Maybe on the next trip to Atlanta ...

T3 is one of the most competent shops in teh country when it comes to Infiniti's and many say <the> most competent shop.

Because their techs are so good, they are quick which enables them to be quite competitive in their pricing as well.

And even if they were really slow, I would pay the extra to know that my car is going to be worked on by the best in the country!
