I would hook up an event scanner to the car and take it for a drive. It could be possible the fuel computer is malfuntioning. Or it could be something as simple as a bad coolant temp sensor, oxygen sensor, dirty mass air-flow sensor.
I would first check for fouled plugs and then check for an air system leak. To check for an air system leak pinch the pcv hoses and see if the engine idle speed rises, if it does you have an air leak.
To check your oxygen sensors, turn your ecu screw clockwise then counterclockwise. Start your motor, warm it up, when its warm run it at 2,000 rpm and make sure the check engine light blinks at least 5 times in 10 seconds.
I've also read that the purge canister line can cause this if it has a leak. Disconnect the hose and plug it and see if the problem disappears.
Hope one of these can help you out.
