I have 90 240sx and my motor is causing so many problems to fix. Tomorrow I'm going to try to buy a SR clip. This clip comes with the driveshaft and rear axle with a VLSD (I think). This whole kit is $3,500. Is this a good deal? Also what is necessary for this to run? I have search for answers, but never came up with what is all necessay. I even went to the sponsor site's and looked. Do you really have to have electronics (boost gauge, turbo timer, oil, egt, etc.)? What about a fmi, bov, hotpipe, mfuel pump, and pipe. Are these things necessary? Is there any things that need to be replaced like water pump, temp sensor and belts. Sorry for this newbish question, I just dont know that much about swapping motors, but very interested.

Depends. Where is it coming from? ARe they reputable? Is it a full swap with ECU, ignitor, uncut harness etc,. Is there a startup guarantee? Has it been compression checked and leakdown tested? Lots of variables to look at to see if you are getting a good deal.

If it is a FULL complete swap that includes everything than it is ready to run, you will just have to do a little but of wiring to adapt the SR harness to your s13 chassis. If you want power steering you will need lines from a 91 and up 240. If you want a working tachometer you will need one out of a DOHC 240. Also will need to swap your speed sensor from your old motor.

If you got a fulll swap you will of gotten all the piping, stock recirculating valve, side mount etc etc. so you won't need all the stuff you listed. Gauges aren't necessary but are a good investment. Oil pressure and water temp would be the 2 most important IMO. Fuel pump would be a wise investment as well if you plan on upping the boost, seeing anyways as the one in yoru car is probably 15 years old.

Depends on the condition of the motor and if you feel like being risky, you'll never really know until you see the motor.

Oh btw SEARCH, everything you asked has been asked 100 times, with 1000 threads answering the questions
