Hello,

I am currently doing a 60k service an in pulling my pulley/harmonic balancer, I chipped one of the edges. From other non-Z forums I found that people tend to re-use a pulley/balancer with small chips like that without issue. However, before finding that out, I did see that there are CNC machined lightweight underdrive pulleys for ~$100.

Who has tried these and did they work for you? Do you need to get special belts for them, or use stock (I've already bought my new drive belts).

Thanks,
-Rick

The latest and greatest keep stock sizes, and are still very lightweight compared to the behemoth OE: https://conceptzperformance.com/unortho ... _15241.php . You can find older ones in the price you mentioned, but you'll have to get different sized belts http://z32.wikispaces.com/Drive+Belt . You should also consider at least a waterpump overdrive pulley if you go with an underdriven crank pulley, so the water pump gets turned enough to cool properly: https://conceptzperformance.com/unortho ... p_3013.php.

Some will say to stay OE because its a harmonic balancer. However, I haven't ever seen any real evidence that using an aftermarket will cause issues.
