No. Do not support AMS, ALL their products are copies of others.

If price is an issue just get the ASP crank pulley, if not then Unorthodox

Dang. That is $200 more then the ams. I know ams is just a bunch of knock offs... But if z1 supports them, they can't be that bad. I get the feeling this is allot like everyone's hate of non jdm bumpers

There's a brand new UR UD pulley that keeps the stock belt sizes so nothing is underdriven, but the pulley itself is still super lightweight: http://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/des ... .164.62.64

There are reasons for them being CHEAP.

I can't find the link right now, but there is a bit where they weight AMS' water pump pulley compared to UD's.

Top is UR, bottom is AMS. Both are advertised as being 100% aircraft grade aluminum. AMS has the holes in it, reducing the mass, so AMS should weight less, right? Wrong. The UR one is lighter. Someone is clearly lying about the composition of their parts...

Found the link...

In that link they talk about the misalignment issues with the AMS product, but here are the scale pics...

Personally, I would spend more money for parts that are made correctly and not cheap copies where they lie about the composition of the part...

Not that I support AMS, but the weight difference could very well be the thickness of the metal used. .4 of an ounce is so slight that we cannot see the difference, even if it is swiss cheese. Who is to say that the problem with pulleys are installation error, over tightening belt, poor engine maintenance, bad bearing causing the pulley to bounce or move more, etc... Yes what AMS does not the best business practice, but most businesses do not come up with the idea, they try and make it better and add to performance based products.

Fast, cheap, reliable. You can only have 2 choices. If you are worried about the price, either get it used or keep stock till you can afford it. If you are worried about reliability, keep it stock. If you want to go fast, or more power, do it right, or you will always working on your car with cheap parts.
