Hello, is undercoating needed or recommended if I live in a climate where alot of salt and sand is used on the roads in the winter time? Is there any sort of rust protection on the Altima Coupes when it comes from the factory, such as double galvinized steal, etc.?

Thanks.

If you pop your head under the car, you will see that it is already undercoated (at least mine is); however thin the layer may be. If you feel that more protection is necessary, more undercoating wouldn't hurt, and it would probably help reduce road noise inside the cabin.

Make sure though you get it done at a reputable shop. I had a buddy that had additional undercoating put on his car and they were really messy. Got undercoating all over the place Of course you can get it for free by just going out to the country and finding a freshly laid chip and tar'd road. uhhh but I highly wouldn't recommend that
