What do y'all do for undercoating your car? Do you use POR15, or MasterSeriesCT paint? Or something else?

It seems prudent to apply some sort of rustproofing now that the car is relatively new. Is it feasible to undercoat it at home? Or is that best left to the pros? I've done the job on my own truck, and it worked splendidly, but the truck underbelly is much more open than this car.

maybe i missed the info about these cars rusting out but this reminds me of 1960 when they really did
i think the factory job is more than adequate. i don't anticipate this to be a problem on 2015

What factory job? Are you saying that every M56 car was already undercoated by Infiniti? Really? Is that sufficient for northern climates? The salt belt?

Five Costly Car Dealer Options to Skip
Dealer Options are Part of Car Sales Pitch

Rust-Proofing
Although new cars no longer need it and some automakers will void the factory corrosion-perforation warranty if the car is undercoated by a third-party, this hasn't stopped some dealerships from promoting undercoating as a dealer option, says Mike Quincy, auto content specialist at the Consumer Reports Auto Test Center in East Haddam, Conn. "Cars leaving the factories today all have excellent rust-proofing," Quincy says.
Should You Rust Proof Your New Car?

WHAT ARE AUTOMAKERS DOING ABOUT RUST?
...Hyundai uses a roto-dip process, which dips the chassis of the car into the galvanization treatment and rotates it to ensure full coverage of the zinc coating, and ensuring no part of the vehicle goes uncoated. “There’s no way any part of the surface isn’t covered,” ensures Joyce.

Overall rust is far less present now than it was 20 years ago, leading outlets like Consumer Reports to downplay the need for rust proofing.

So should you buy a rustproofing package when buying a new car? “We don’t recommend rust proofing,” says Quincy. “It’s very likely a waste of money and almost all of the cost goes right into the pockets of the dealer.” Even third party rust-proofing is considered a bust, “after-market rust proofing is a waste of money regardless of who’s applying it,” says Quincy. “Factory rust proofing is all you need.”
