I have a 2016 Rogue S without power seats or heated seats. I see wiring going to each seat. Under the driver seat, there is also an unused plug. Anyone know what this wiring is for?

The owner's manual shows the "Occupant Classification Sensor", which is the weight sensor for the airbags. Perhaps its the wiring for that.

Often the same wiring harness is used on vehicles of all trim packages. Any upgrade a vehicle does not have just leaves a connector with nothing to plug into it. Heated seats are a great illustration.

If you look at the FSM it will give you an idea of what the wiring is.
