well, it looks like i have to replace several injectors under the plenum. the thing is, i have exactly 2 weeks between now and a long roadtrip, and i'm pretty sure that i don't have the time or wherewithall between now and then to tackle all the underplenum hoses. having never had a go at the under-plenum job, does anybody think it's worth my time to remove the plenum, change the injectors but not do any of the hoses, and then when i find some time later in the summer, remove the plenum again and tackle the hoses? or should i swing the boston-dc-boston trip without addressing the injectors (one is totally shot, 2 others borderline), and do it all at once when i get back? thanks for opinions. randy

Pretty much takes another hour to change ALL the hoses once you have plenum and injector rails off and on the bench. You must have every hose at the ready because just pulling the plenum will crack and break many!

I wouldn't do that with a dead cylinder... you don't know if it's stuck "open" flooding that cylinder which can cause the engine to hydrolock, or ring wear due to gas washing off the rings.
