I have been looking online for replacement insulation for the underside of my hood. It has a couple holes in it where the insulation is hanging down. The holes dont seem to be getting any worse, and it has been this way since I bought the truck. I was wondering if anyone knew where to find a replacement? The vehicle in question is a 98 QX4.

I am also open to any ideas on how to patch up the existing insulator.

It's not cheap at $190, but it's brand new. Item 3 here:

That place is really good for OEM parts you can't find anywhere else. I think it's more or less like going to the dealer: spendy.

The only other option I can think of is going through some junkyard cars.

As far as patching, maybe buy some 3m spray-on adhesive and use that to stick it back onto the hood. Probably not the route I'd go, but it's an option.

This is what I am trying to describe. The insulator itself is still attached to the hood, but it has a couple holes in it. I cant believe they charge so much for insulation. A new hood only cost $10 more including the insulator. I called all of the local U pull it yards earlier. One had 3 hoods, but all of the insulators where falling apart. The others didn't even have any Pathfinders newer than 95.
