Wanted to see if anyone else has removed the "skirt" (not sure what to call it) that is under the car. This is the black plastic piece that you have to remove in order to get to your oil filter. It's a pain in the a** to remove it every time I do an oil change and I've already lost one of the screws so I use a zip tie every time.

I plan on taking it off and leaving it off the next oil change I do. Has anyone else done this? Any cons to it?

It is meant to help with airflow under the car. You might see a little drop in MPG without it, but it's not going to tear up the car.

I had the same frustration, so I just took my dremel out and cut a 6" wide x 4" section out below the oil filter. It stopped the problem of oil hitting it and going every where and it doesn't need to come off anymore. It would take me over an hour to get it off with the CF splitter on there, so the little modification prevents it from causing a problem.

Ahh..that's a good idea. Now I'll just have to figure what to cut it with since my Dremel went belly up a year ago.
