Uncomfortable Seats?

Does anyone else have problems with their drivers seat? It seems extremely uncomfortable to me, and leaves me feeling like I'm slouching with little to no lower-back support.

Maybe the person who owned the car before me was real fat and broke it, lol, but I'm asking because I don't want to spend the money on a new seat if it's not going to make a difference.

Anyone have any ideas?

It's a `93 240SX SE Auto if that helps any.

Not sure! I've always found that my stock s13 seats are way more comfortable than most any other car I've been in. Especially better than my moms Accord or any other Honda I've driven. S13 seats are extremely uncomfortable. And yes, it does lack back support cuz its all shaped funky. I even have lumbar adjusters on my seats but that didnt do jack, so I swapped them out for S14 seats. Get S14 seats, theyre cheap and they make a night and day difference in comfort.

how close are the fit on the seats when you do the s14 into s13?

I think my s13 seats are the most comfortable out of all the cars I've owned (my 91 integra was the worst!), but I've only sat in an s14 once so I don't remember how comfortable they were. I've even had passengers tell me how nice my seats were (I'm of course not talking about back seat passengers!)

I drove 3000 miles in the span of a week and a half when I bought my S13. That was the worst drive ever!!!! I think those seats are horrible

Are you talking about installation? This has been covered a gazillion times. DIRECT BOLT IN.

Or are you referring to how it "fits" or holds in the driver? S14 seats have pretty good bolsters on the seats for a cheap stock car from the 90's. I'd say theyre pretty snug. I like the cloth material better because it feels better than the S13 tweed cloth.

Yep, I paid $100 for a set of pristine S14 seats for my S13, they work excellent, worth every dollar and more.

not everybody has the same body and everybody has difforent comfort zones, dont buy seats without testing them first, some people dont like the s14 seats even. There is no doubt that the s14 seat upgrade is the best bang for the buck (if you like them).

those are way better seats than i got i have those old 89 240sx fastback seats but they in perfect condition

i'm cool with my s13 seats...i still remember the first time i sat in it..it felt like racing seat! now its just some old but comfy seat.

Do you know what year you seats are from. I have seen some, but they do not have the pattern in the center. Also what would be an estimated price for what you have?

From what the seller told me, my S14 seats come from a 1998 240SX SE. The average pair of S14 seats costs around $200. I got lucky with the condition of these seats.

Junkyard, or just gotta keep your eyes open for them in the classified sections on 240SX forums (i.e. Freshalloy, Zilvia, NICO, etc). They are very sought for and don't stay for sale for long so jump on a deal when you see one.

I traded for my racing seats for a guy in FL. I could have gotten a good bit of $ for the racing seats, but a trade works out easier. less hassle`

whoa, you traded seats for a guy! thats freaking SWEET!! does he wash windows? what about house work? if he is a hard worker i think ya should put him on ebay :-D I know us Florida people tend to get a bit pricey, but we are all worth the extra penny.. hope them seats were brides...other wise i donno why someone would have given ya such a trade.

He pretty much does everything. Anytime he isnt busy, he sits on my floorboard: awaiting my *** on his lap. He really hugs me during hard turns!

I drove 1450 miles in the span of 2 days, and let me tell you, my *** was bruised for a week! I'm definately looking into s14 seats, too bad there are no 240's in NH!
