I found an 06 M45 sport with less than 20k miles for about $17k. I have only seen pictures so far and have not had a chance to speak to the seller. Are there any specific issues/questions you guys can think of that I should ask? Currently my questions include: why such a low price, was there some major work done or an accident? I plan on paying for a carfax report but just wanted some expert advice. Hell at that price I can afford to keep my Maxima too and keep the miles on the M way down for the yrs.

i totalled mustang cobra once ,but budyshop owner bought it from the insurace company, then he fixed it for himself. so here you go. that is how price like 17K could exsist.

Careful, remember "if it's too good to be true" well you know the rest. Not everything is reported to carfax or shows up months later.

Point about CarFax well taken. Despite my running a Carfax report when I bought it, turns out another research service showed the car had been in fairly serious accident - which didn't matter until I tried to turn it in years later (for my M45x) resulting in much lower offer than I'd been counting on.

Addendum to my previous post: Car I was referring to was a '01 Jag XJR.

You sure it doesn't have a salvage title?? Something smells real fishy about that?

Sounds way too good to be true. Must be a typo or something ... or a scam. Be careful.

Remember, unless there is a police report it will not get reported to CARFAX.That leaves out alot of Dealer mischief and innumeralble Comprehensiveclaims ie hurricanes, falling trees etc. If its a STEAL its rarely a DEAL
