I searched through pages and pages of threads and I was not able to find a similar issue to my problem, so please be kind. I am stuck at the top of my driveway, blocking all the other cars, with 1'+ snow drifts (NY). Not my day lol.
I have a 2010 Rogue SL with keyless entry/ignition and an autostart which was factory installed by the previous owner, which uses my stock keyfob for initiate. According to a manual in my car it has a Pursuit Pro 9233N keyless alarm upgrade module.
I was able to auto start my car this morning to warm it up in the snow but when I got in the car, pressed the brake (killing the engine, just like I always do since I do not have a bypass), and attempted to start the engine manually it clicks forward but the starter does not engage. When I push the ignition in the GREEN key indicator flashes, I can rotate forward to the on position, but when I continue turning, the car won't attempt to start. Despite repeated attempts, I have been unable to get my car to start.
I can still auto-start my car, so I know there is nothing wrong with the battery, starter, engine, etc... just my manual ignition being immobilized.
I have tried disconnecting the battery. Using the physical key in the ignition, and placing the alarm system into manual valet mode but nothing has worked. I am at a loss at this point and don't know what else to try. Please let me know if anyone has experienced anything similar or if anyone has ANY ideas that I can try. I doubt I can even get a tow truck to come move my car in this weather.
