I just cant ****ing do it. The upper cover came off without any problems but this lower cover does not want to come off. I removed all screws/nuts, double checked and still nothing. The top half is almost completely off but the lower end of it doesnt budge in the slightest.

What the hell am I doing wrong?

similar on a SOHC. Take a whack at it with a rubber mallet to break it free from the silicone.

Did you disconnected the oil pick up tube?

Did you removed the crank pulley?

Some of the things to check:

1. Did you remove the 3 bolts going from the oil pan into the lower cover and pop the oil pan loose?2. Remove the oil pump pickup once the pan is loose.3. Use a dead blow hammer and screwdrivers, wedges, whatever makes you happy, to pop it loose from the silicone seal.

HTH, and have a good one,Mike
