I was able to clarify with my guy earlier today, on the codes. It wasn't the MAF. The exact code, is P0505 Idle Air Control System. He told me that the idle air control valve, from last week, could be damaged, and that he would be glad to replace it free of cost.

As a side note, I managed to get the relearn completed at a shop, using a computer, instead of all that time consuming jazz that I shared with you.

If you wouldn't mind, could you please share your thoughts on replacing that corrupt IACV?

After the relearn, the SES light cut off. Unfortunately, it came back on after a couple of times

Here are my shared thoughts: I'm actually wondering if you read any of my posts in this thread.
I wrote on more than one occasion, given mine and other member's experience, that the problem was 99% related to a bad IACV.
I also talked about the relearn process, and possible damage to the ECM if you continued to drive with the bad IACV.
It seems you just didn't trust our/mine advice, and went ahead and wasted a lot of time, probably money, and resources trying to troubleshoot a problem that looked obvious to us.
Your mechanic is now saying that the new IACV he installed may be damaged because of the P0505 code. Right.
That P0505 code is not a good thing. If it does come back, you may still be dealing with a damaged ECM.
On a general side note, I never understand it when people come on to a forum like this, looking for help, and then getting all kinds of solid advice from experienced owners, and then ignoring their advice. Why bother?

My man, I have read every word that has been submitted on this thread. Posting on a forum allows me to take various opinions into consideration. I've always thought that was the purpose of forums. Where people of different backgrounds, and regions, can come together and share their thoughts, on a similar interest. I would like to add, that I have not wasted a single penny, towards this project of mine. In regards to your post, If I were to have taken every car gods word to heart, and cut a check, I most likely would have spent around $15,000 rebuilding this beast. My friend, please know that I do value your opinion, but that I also value the opinion of others. It very well may be the ECM, and if that was the case, I will get that problem solved. From my understanding, I have been dealing with a problem that differs from other Pathfinder owners. Yes, some of us have had some similar experiences, but we are all nipping away at this "mystery" problem, one chunk at a time. I'm here for car talk guys, not nit picking. I have an appointment with the 'electrician' on Monday. I'll keep you all updated.
Cheers, and have a good weekend.

Valid opinions from both parties above honestly. I already updated the title since I figured the primary issue had been solved as proposed by the experience of members here. I will update it again if we see otherwise.

Otherwise, I welcome you taking a different route to addressing these symptoms and updating us. Heck, we might learn a different way to skin this cat.

*I don't know if this is a very good positive test, but it's simple. When my ECU was fried I could smell the "electric smell" very strongly from the driver knee bolster area. That's where the ECM is. I never attempted to open the case personally, but why not?

Yes, open the case and you will be able to see if the chip inside the ECU is fried or not...

Bumping this very helpful thread:
My truck threw the dreaded P0505 code today - luckily, I was right near an Advance AutoParts to read the code right when it happened. I had noticed an odd idle at startup a few times, but never anything too alarming.

I pulled the IACV and tested all connections (23.4 ohms~). I also confirmed the IACV motor/actuator moved when I put the truck in the ON position (is it normal to hear motor noise). My truck has a mildly rough idle, but doesn’t die. I have not evaluated the condition of the ECM (not obvious burnt electronic smell has ever been noticed). Based on my tests, is replacing the IACV still advised? My truck is 01 QX4 (165k) - I have never changed the IACV since I owned it (since 125k- 6 years ago). To be honest, I didn’t even know this issues until today! Wow
