ok, since the idle problemn has been around a few days now, ive been kinda ignoring it hoping that it will go away, and somtimes it does, like the night before last went out around 1am and it was stalling out terrible and missfiring badly started to head home and it stopped idle would be perfect and ran great! well yesterday leave work on break and the damn thing started acting up got half way home and the car was sputtering and missin so badly it became undriveable stoped in a advanced auto parts parking lot thinkn i had blown an IC pipe off cause thats what it was driving like ! well i didnt have a flat head to chek the clamps so i go buy one 3.72$ for a freakin screw driver, cursed at the employee he told me to leave and i threw 4bucks at him and left, no luck on the car, drove it back home sputtering an bucking the whole way, i know i shouldnt have but the car is pissin me off and im half tempted to sit in it laughing while holding it WOT till it throws a rod at me ! any way checked all the IC hoses for fittment , seems aok. changed the coolant temp sensor, seems to make a bit of differance, but the car had cooled off by then, went to auto zone they dont sell air regulators for the car! my 89 sohc has a differant version of it so it dont fit, now its sunday and my cars not moveable and im FukED, could the airregulator be causin a overly rich situation and missfires and stuff like that or should i look else wheres for the prob like a blown intake mani gasket, i got to eventually find a ride to get some brake cleaner to check for air leaks ....sorry im just running on no sleep and very very very very pissed off again! im half tempted to take the sr motor and sell my CA to my business partner since he wants it so badly , or get his 89 supra turbo off him and call it a freakin year !

ps any other swaps i do wont have these problemns provided you dont buy a already failed attempt at a swap by a incompetent shop ! and if you do have i will repair this stuff free of charge if its indeed workmanship related ! but i doubt that any other motor in this world can be such a PIA !

Am I correct in assuming you have cleaned the MAF element with some carb cleaner? if not that may help, also check the resistor pack for the injectors, if you have a dodgy pack then that can play havoc with running.

Also do you get any ECU codes?

Dude if I had the coin to fly out there and *****slap this engine for you I would, you have pissed off the boost gods or something. If you want measurements from my FSM to check all your engine sensors or something like that let me know.:(

ok what could cause misfire, i get spark across teh board, tried a CA18et MAF no diff, used air regulator idles now! i have 2 other TPS;s to try once i get a voltmeter and 2 more AACs , what esle could this be BAD FPR flooding the injectors ?

ok im getting a 34 on the ECU DET sensor thats it nothing else is malfunctioning , the car will stumble then rev fine but is missfiring quite a bit !

If you have a faulty DET sensor it will make it run like crap, it happened to a mate of mine, disconnect it and see how it goes.

hmm well i knew from before i got the motor it was throwing that code , but i got it to run . now maybe my motor just wasnt ever running right and now im payin for it .

this is a day old plug from # 1 cylinder . little rich maybe causing missing im having ?
