UMass Car Show

hey guys, just wanted to let u know about a car show at my school, UMass Amherst. last year we had about 200 cars show up. this year we expect a lot more. some events to be included, burnout contest, vehicle judging, BBQ, and endless amounts of college girls! it should be taking place at the beginning of May.

I basically have the only 240sx at my school and i wanted to know if anyone was interested in coming out and representing Nicoclub/their 240. registration is just $10. lemme know what u guys think.

it is on a weekend! its may 3rd. there are going to be sooo many people this year. Last year was our first annual car show and it was a huge success. here is a link to the car show pics. our car club even has a forum!

absolutely man, the more the merrier! any car is welcome(if its show worthy of course) we're most likely not going to reject any cars from entering.

judging has 32 classes...one of them is best nissan.... group members like myself are allowed to win trophies so bring on the competition! lol

did u see a coupe, hatch? theres a black hatch that is around, i dont know him but e drives around the school. mines is a coupe with really ****ty wheels on it. i will post pics when i get my car back

you should def come to umass, sooo much fun if your lookin to party thursday-sunday. they dont call it the zoo for nothing...

yea i saw a flat black coupe, im pretty sure it had sleepy eyes at the timemy sr swap is done, just cant drive it because when we took out the cross member on the KA transmission, 2 bolts broke and stuck inside the frame so we gotta drill that this wkend, but it sounds amazing!

hey man! yea def will be bumping this back up when the time comes, i still gotta come over to get rid of some rust. lol this sounds like a lot of 240's will be showing up, we'll turn the minority into a majority!!

G*d dammit I miss everything being out in the desert sucks! UMass was a blast when I was a little younger and would deffinetally go to check out the rides (mine is not worthy yet) but none the less have a great time guys enjoy SLAMHERST!

i will definitely be there!! i am dumb and i literally just posted this is the regional section too. be sure to look for a flat black red top 93 hatch pig-nose. we should sign up and reserve a place for NICO... like we all park together instead of going on a wild goose chase. Any mods from around here should definitely come out and we can continue to make NICO the biggest and best!!

Event Summary:This show is the grand finale of our year. We're shooting for 500 cars this year. Featured events include:

Burnout Contest4x4 RTI RampExhaust/Audio Sound OffLowrider CompetitionBiggest Lift CompetitionPizza Eating ContestTire Throwing ContestEngine Blow-up RaffleVendors and TunersDJ's and Food33+ Trophy CategoriesSupermileage, Grease Car, Go Kart, Autocross, and Rally Cross ExhibitsCustom Widebody and Airbrushing Demonstration

Price:Free to attend, $10 to enter a vehicle in judging. Events and contests are free to participate in.

Location:University of Massachusetts Amherst Campus, SouthWest Lot 33. If you are familiar with the campus it is at the bottom of the horseshoe in the Southwest residential area.

Hours:Show area opens at 10:00 AM.Burnout Contest begins at 12:00 PM.RTI 4x4 Ramp Contest begins at 1:00 PM.Judging Starts at 1:00 PM.Pizza Eating Contest begins at 3:00 PM.

Directions:University of Massachusetts Amherst Campus, SouthWest Lot 33. If you are familiar with the campus it is at the bottom of the horseshoe in the Southwest residential area.

If you are unfamiliar it is the lot closest to where Mass Ave. and University Drive meet. (downhill from the towers).

There will be signs directing traffic from the major roadways onto campus.

From the North: Route 91 South to Exit 25 - At the end of the ramp turn left and follow the road to the intersection - turn right onto Routes 5 & 10 South - go 1 mile, then left onto 116 South, then eight miles to UMass exit - Left at the end of the ramp onto Massachusetts Avenue. Take a right at the first set of lights (usually blinking yellow) and proceed approximately one-quarter mile. Signs or the campus map will direct you to lot 33.

From the South: Route 91 North to Exit 19 (Northampton/Amherst) - Right onto Route 9 and go approximately five miles, just past the Amherst-Hadley town line. Take a left at the lights (just after the Stop and Shop on the left-hand side) onto University Drive. Go through one set of lights and signs or the campus map will direct you to lot 33.

From the East: Mass Pike (Route 90) West to Exit 4 (West Springfield) onto Route 91 North to Exit 19 (Northampton/Amherst) - Right onto Route 9 and go approximately five miles, just past the Amherst-Hadley town line. hell yea y'all can party the night before, how many of you are coming, i could probably hook it up with a place to crash...umass parties are the **** but u need a college ID/license and be over 17 to stay.

yes, there will be many parties on/off campus that night and the night before, umass usually parties from wed-sunday lol, we just got it like that.

im most excited for the burnout contest and the fact that there is going to be many nissans at the show.
