You be the judge.

THE OLD SYSTEM

The car came to us without a fuel system for the most part. The factory fuel sending unit had been chopped and a large -10 siphon tube was installed through the top of the sending unit replacing the factory in tank pump. A -6 fitting was also installed through the top for a return line. A setup like this is not a good idea on high g-force application like drag or road racing. The siphon tube is right in the middle of one side of the tank and can easily come uncovered when the fuel sloshes. In addition, the factory return line also siphons fuel from the other side of the tank which in this setup was eliminated. This setup will draw fuel from the right side of the tank only. In addition to the modded sending unit, the factory fuel lines were also removed.

THE NEW SYSTEM

We decided that replacing the factory fuel sending unit with an unmodified one would be the best bet. This would also replace the factory transfer siphon so it would draw from both sides of the tank. We would then use a Walboro 255L in tank pump to feed a custom surge tank we would fabricate. Fuel requirements for this car were going to be high so we opted to do a dual Walboro inline pump setup. So this is what we ended up with.

Let me know what you guys think.

Yes, The surge tank is fed by the in tank pump and feeds back into the factory tank through the factory return line fitting. This keeps the surge tank full at all times. The twin pumps take fuel from the bottom of the surge tank and are "Y"d into a single -8 line that will run forward to the fuel rail. From the rail, through the regulator back to the surge tank.

I had a system just like that in one of my cars, worked fine. Of course a ugly round and high surge tank but ok.

Nice. Why not gut the tank though and just go with an in trunk cell?

That is gorgeous.

My favorite part of my car is the AMS-designed fuel system... Gets lots of comments from the TRUEenthusiasts.

A tig?

We have 3 or maybe 4. Remember, we make all our products in house, so I literally have a 'team' of fabricators. There is a department specifically for making products, its all they do all day.

There is more money in AN fittings in that set-up than I paid for my car. You guys really tend to over do things I think I could have done better with silicone hose and band clamps. JK

That looks incredible when I become rich I am sending my car to you guys. Good work.

BTW I will probably never be rich, but a boy can dream!
