After getting fed up with my water bottle rolling around I decided it was time for some cupholders.

The ones for the e39 BMW fit perfect

I got the silver ones as I thought they would match the door sills and they do

Installation was straight forward, and so far they work great

Nice. That's a good spot for cupholders. Did they have any that fold?

This guy only sells this style I think. The nice thing about these is no drilling is required the have bend and after the slip up under they are pretty tight.

Where did you pick them up from? I'm inclined to pick up a pair immediately after taking delivery of my Q.

Very nice!

I use the no-cupholders as a hint for others not to drink in my car!

So I'm not alone - Cup holder is for cd's; no napkins means no eating; no ashtray means no smokin'! (except on the outside)

I like that. No cupholders = no drinking in the car.

Maybe that's what they were thinking when they designed it.

The guy was really nice, fast shipping and top notch quality.

Pricey though

I like to have water with me on my commute to work, I dont plan on stuffing a big gulp in there, but you could

It's my favorite option on my Q.

However, I do like your new cupholders silver2k2.

The best place for cupholders is in someone else's car, preferably a Buick.

Great devices if you don't drive or have emergencies on the road. Why I only use bottles with secure tops.

Yes these are great for water bottles with secure tops too. So when have an emergency the bottle doesnt go flying, and end up behind your brake pedal

That is exactly what they were thinking. The Japanese didn't understand the American "need" for Starbucks or soda, or any other fluid while driving.

Even when they did put cup holders in the Q they hid them under the center arm rest.

Cup holders are STUPID. I hate them. Like Brian, I have a bottle of WATER that I wedge between the door and the seat next to me. No way for it to launch forward or anything. I think its pitiful people dont think they can live however long your commute is without their coffee or what have you. Besides, water is always the best thing for you.

Really though, I dont hardly ever eat or drink anything in the car. Almost every time I have one of those foam cups in the car it results in a spill, and that reminds me why I dont have them in the car. Either the straw stabs the side and puts a small leak in it or something else catastrophic happens.

I do eat and drink in the car, just not while its moving. Whenever I stop and dont feel like going inside a place I just chill in the parking lot until Im done...

If I were designing a car Id put about 20 cup holders in the trunk, where they belong. People call having cup holders a practicality, I call it more practical NOT to have one. I may do something stupid on the road and wreck my car some day (knock on wood), but I'll be damned if its because im eating a Baconator or a 72oz drink.

Not to get off topic, Silver, but I think you understand. As far as cupholders go, I think those are really nice.

Yeah. Sorry to Jack your post man. As far as cupholders go, those are some of the best. I do drink in my car. We go on really long trips alot and sometimes having a drink helps keep Mr. Sandman away.

I'm really concerned about security too, that's why I don't have cup holders. I wouldn't know where to even put one
