r34 gtr got the site name correct. and tomei's got all you need, if you've got the money. look into their valvetrain upgrades if you're going for high HP / dyno queen status, as well as their stroker/bore kit

the Ca16 crank doesnt work with the CA20 block. you have to use the CA20 crank and rods and pistons. i dont know if the CA16 head will work either. however, the CA18DE head will. you have to either maching the pistons down 2mm or get custom pistons with the wrist pin relocated. if you dont do so, the valves will hit the pistons. you can use the CA20E or CA18DE pistons as they are both the same bore. in order to get the high-revs like you want you'll have to micropolish the crank, cryo-treat it, get aftermarket rods and shotpeen them, get custom pistons, and get the whole assembly balanced and blueprinted. i'd get the pistons coated as well. to get high rev capability from the head you'll have to get high RPM springs and retainers. valves and a port job are recommended but not needed. also, you need to mount a custom timing belt and use the CA20 flywheel as the crank uses a different bolt pattern than the CA18DE. you can use the clutch from either engine. you also need either a high-output oil pump or a whole new oiling system. get every fastener from ARP, and use a standard Nissan headgasket. doing what i just told you will give you a CA20DE, or by using a CA18DET head, you'll get a CA20DET. compression will be around 7.8:1 with the CA18DET head, not sure about the N/A head tho. if you know what you are doing, it is real easy. it's also real easy to mess it up. my advice: get a CA18DET, a Tomei stroker kit, with titanium retainers, springs, get your head ported and polished, slap on a T04 or T78 or something large like that, and have fun and hope you dont blow anything up.

Then sell the other %50 of microsoft you own so you can afford some custom Cylinder and Head rapid ionization. ;)

why won't the the ca16de crank work in the ca20e block? The solid lifter tomei set is definetly in the works. The whole point of this little project is to make a really destroked ca engine. You tell me why I can't do it, I'll figure a way around that. I just can't find any specs for the ca16de. Telling me I can't do something is just going to piss me off and make me more determined. Last time "they" said I couldn't, I put a SHO engine into a 88' turbo fastback 626, saturday it's getting a gran national turbo. I still don't know what I'm going to put this engine into. Either a 89' nissan hardbody with a rear 300zx hicas conversion, or if I can find a 88' 200sx (s12) notchback with a good body for cheap.

Ok, you guys are kinda right, the ca16de crank has the same stroke as the ca18de, so it won't do me any good. Does anyone know if there's a fully counterbalanced crank (i.e. one that has a counterweight for every journal) or peformance crank available? Jdm nismo?

are you trying to shorten the stroke, or lengthen it?
