Time to replace my Dunlop ST20 tyres on my 2006. I don't do many miles as this is a second car. Less than 5,000 a year all on tarmac. I was going to go for Yokohama Geolandar G055 Blue Earth but I've found the following' are available much cheaper.

Size: 225/65 R18 103H
Toyo PROXES S/T (Summer Tyre)
Falken HS-439 (Winter Tyre)

Does anyone have any experience of either of these three? Winters in the UK are mild so i'm not sure the winter tyres are needed.

Thanks

Hi there

I have been running 4x Toyo Proxies on my Murano for over two years and 20k+ miles. Mileage is a 50:50 mix of long motorway cruises and spirited town/country driving and the tyres are great for giving consistent grip all year round in all UK weather conditions. Never felt the need to change to Winter tyres despite poor conditions last two winters.

Value for money, wear rate and grip are great - can't fault them. My only concern relates to getting stranded in the South of France with a damaged tyre and being unable to get another Toyo - I don't want to mix tyres/makes - as Murano tyres are an "odd" size, certainly not usually available off-the-shelf!

regards

Andrew

4 new Toyos fitted by Event Tyres. Very happy with the fitting and the result. The car feels like new again.
