why do these things need timing chain change at 120 ,000 miles ?

The only time timing chain components need to be replaced is when they wear out which doesn't necessarily happen at 120,000 mi.

Nissan suggest timing BELT replacement at 100k but not necessarily timing chains. Rogoman is right, only replace if it is worn out or it jumps a tooth.

91 ka24de eng itsa leakin oil bad from behind the lower timin cover . what would u do ?? were is the most common kulprit ??

there is an o-ring behind the front cover down low, on the left side as you are staring fronm the front to the bacvk of engine.

they are infamous for leaking. you'll pull the front cover, you don't have to pull the head, but be careful of the portion of the head gasket that is between the upper and lower front cover. change your front crank seal while you've got it apart. also would suggest replacing tensioners even if you don't do the chains. remove the extraneous guides from upper chain (lot of posts on that).
