so im going down the road around 25mph (uphill) and all of a sudden i hear this VERY loud "wham bang clang" noise

so im liek wtf pull over look under car(sounded like me entire exhaust fell off)

no belts int eh road, so i popped the hood

a small fan(not sure what it is) had broken loose and int he process broke the bigger fan(radiator fan) and i looked and what holds it all on there SHOULD be 4 bolts, ive only got 2.....WTF!

anyone know what the smaller fan was and how much a new fan assembly should run me?

if its the fan i think, its the A/C fan, and you could go to a junkyard and get a clutch fan(the bigger fan), the A/C fan(smaller fan) can also be gotten from a junkyard, am not sure of prices though.

don't need it, just wire up a GM electrical fan and you should be fine. I don't have a shroud, it just gets in the way. $20 gets you a GM fan w/shroud at any junkyard.
