Today while iw as cleaning my car i tried to close the cup holder lid, and it wouldnt let me do so, so i gently tried 3 or 4 times and eventually something broke...off... something fell out and its about 2 or 3 inches long thingy. now i have a lid that an close but wont stay shut lol it springs back up becuase the thing that broke off was the thing thats suppose to hold it down...

i wonder if nissan will replace the center console for me since day one the arm rest was a pain. The armrest slides out front and back, but in a terrible manner, as if there was no oil/lube. The dealer tried lubing it and remained the same

I expected that you got lead poisoning from the center console

haha..the same thing happened to me like the first week I got my car. Actually, I put my EZPass for tolls inside the center cupholder and I closed the lid. Then I went to open it and it had gotten stuck. After gently finessing the lid for a while I finally got it open. It worked fine for like 4 or 5 openings and closings and then that same piece you're talking about popped out and it wouldn't stay shut. The dealership did replace it though.

The car is assembled in the States, but i would guess that the vast majority of the plastic parts are made in China. I work in the Injection Mold industry, and the amount of work done by the Asians is mindblowing now.

no...they just replaced the cup holder part..but if you complain enough I would think that they'd replace it for you.

Oh damn. I missed this thread. The same thing happened to me, and again... the same exact piece fell out. I haven't gone to the dealer because it's not that big of a problem. I'll just have them replace it next oil change I go in for.

mine hasnt broke (knock of wood) but my center console keeps flipping up while driving....im getting to be real good friends with my service guy so he is getting it for me free of charge.

he got me a new head unit free of charge for the aux

i hit a curb to avoid an accident and replaced a $500 exhaust piece that was leaking

and i got my car detailed twice for free also

i'm the last person to complain about the dealerships

hopefully it stays like this!

EDIT: sorry for the double space i just finished a 7 page paper on the Presidential Race and it was all double spaced haha and im on massive amounts of adderall

Yeah, I had the same issue. I had the dealership replace my cup holder today. They had to order the parts before hand.

yep, my cup holder was broken the minute I drove off the dealership lot. my passenger vanity mirror was broken too, the light wouldn't shut off. the dealership just replaced them both after ordering the parts.

Gripes:

Hows your guys' seats? Mine moves a little when I turn sharply in either direction. The armrest slider thing is a terrible design. It's hard to pull out and in. It feels cheap at the same time. I have the SL package with the A/C vents in the back. How's your guys' air flow? Barely any air out of mine. I was cleaning my dash today (where the gas gauge is) and I accidently scratched the clear plastic somehow... I don't even have long nails. Another thing, I want everyone to run your fingers under the hood where the hood meets up with the bumper. For me, the gap on the right side is significantly larger than the one on the left. My temp. gauge has a huge lag time. Sometimes the temperature is way wrong.. I don't know, could be worst I suppose.

Japanese car made in the U.S. Does that make sense?
