Yo, i think my motor mounts and transmission mounts are borken but i do not know if they are, is there any way i can check? Its just when i drive, my shifter stick wobbles and its getting worse. Antoher thing is that like, when i drop the clutch, the rear end feels like its loose, its hard to explain, kinda rocks back and forth

Another thing is that i ran a diag. on my car and it reads back EGR Malfunction. The mechanic said i had to clean out the EGR Tube. Any body have any idea to clean that and stuff? I know its that tube that runs from the header to the EGR Valve next to the intake manifold.

if they are broken you should see large amounts of engine movement under the hood. they will usually clunk when they get really broke. you may just need shifter bushings as they wear out and cause shifter play.

the egr tube the mech is reffering to is the tiny one going from the egr valve to the bpt valve. its not the really big one you are thinking of. it also has not effect on engine performance *usually*.

I'd get under the car to check that the bolts that hold the transmission mount and transmission up are fastened. Check to see as well if the 6 bolts that hold down the shifter assembly are secure. Just take a look at the mounts, you should be able to tell if they are bad.

i have the same problem w/ the wobbly shifter and loose feel.... im guessing that u cant really scratch 2nd that well either.... and the problem is : driver side engine mount.... i pulled my motor recently and didnt half to unbolt it cause its broken in half.... i hear no clunks or anything unless i hit a big bump in the road and because of the way the engine turns when u put a lot of load on it (i.e. clutch dump, shifting, bumps in road) the engine actually shifts around a little bit.... this causes the shifter to move and the loose feel.... i still think u should inspect the drivetrain too though

Have you checked your suspension lately? Are your shocks still in working order? If they're blown, your rear end can be pretty squirrelly when you try to mash the throttle.

Just one more thing to look at. . .
