my valves are bent to **** now, i cant even turn the car over. its motivation to rebuild it better, but im sure that wouldnt help you for the nopi thing.

keep it running for now im sure youll get the opportunity to build it later. as for me, im debating whether i should even bother working on it now since i cant drive the car anyways. maybe its time to save up for a swap...

it would be cheaper, but on the other hand this isnt going to be my daily driver much longer and it waas going to have to happen sometime... i need the hp in the upper range for the sr for track competition, the real reason i bought this car in the first place.

ka is great for daily driving though, i will miss the torque if i ever have to drive it to an event or something.

thats cool i was going to say the ka seems much easier to work on considering the availability and low price on parts, i was also wondering whats going to happen with your valves?

Why don't you two just talk on AIM or something, lol.

Yeah it sucks when stupid stuff goes wrong and you have to take from your upgrade money to fix it. I spent like $1000 just on stock replacement parts to get mine running right.

Definately build the KA.

well since there were no questions to answer... :P

as far as upgrading goes, anything i do at this point will be an upgrade... im either putting on that built head and improving everything along the way, or im waiting and saving for the swap so i wont have to do it a year down the road when i need it. decisions, decisions.

definatley know what you're talkin about having to put money into boring stuff to keep the car running. I finally got some bux towards my CA swap, and now my KA is knocking, and i don't have enough money for the CA yet so now all the money is going towards a new KA...it seems like a waste.cars are like that tho, it's not like you save up money thinking "This 400 dollars is for when my clutch, brakes, and back tires need replacing all at the same time "

youll be happy to know i decided to stick with the ka for the time being.

id rather save up for a notchtop than get a redtop right now. the shop i got hooked up at recently completed an rb26dett swap into a 93 fb, so im trying to go out there when the guy has his car out. if i happen to have a camera on my ill take pics if hell let me.

still looking for some parts for my ka though :-/

The best way to have a running S13 is to have 2 S13's. Then if you swap/ have to fiz something, you have another way out! haha its easy.

How's the motor in it? Maybe you could swap it out if it has lower miles. If you have turbo aspirations I'd go with what 2BN said, maybe not so much 2 s13's, but get a daily beater (something more reliable). Just in case. Or save up some cash for a rebuilt KA from a reliable source, some go for around $700, and that would be perfect for building up for turbo.

'91-early '93 cams are over-rated. (why the heck do you call them 91 cams??? they were offered in S13's through early 1993...)

You see like 3 hp to your wheels, and no torque improvment. 2.5-3.0 Exhaust, Intake, SOHC pistons, then '91-early '93 cams, you will see some improvement.
