Sorry guys. I just can't help the need for a faster car, that is so much easier to tune. It's already got a turbo, and comes with a factory warranty. Plus it's almost a thousand pounds lighter than the G. I couldn't help it. In a comparison of driving the G and it, it will eat the G for lunch.

Sweet Factory turbo is the way to go. Now you can get the Cobb tuning and get 40-50 more hp.

I hope you are not going anywhere from Nico.

Congrats Beano. Good choice.

No way its a thousand pounds lighter, 300 would be the correct answer. The 09 wrx has 265/244 lbs and its that much faster than a G, I don't think so. The only thing in your mind that makes you think it is that much faster is the traction. They trap 101mph in the 1/4, 1-2mph difference than a g35. Stock for stock both are very comparable. Yes you can buy a cobb access port and make things happen. Congrats and enjoy the car, but don't forget where you came from....

Dear Beano:

Congrats! Nice looking car. However, even if I am able to scrap the money together at 180,000 miles, thats when i will add a supercharger to my car for more power.

It was taken "as is" with all extra stock parts as well. That's why they ate so much negative equity. Sorry guys.

Quoted for truth!

I already gave you my thoughts is the Mod forum Beaner.

You better not be going anywhere from here and joining a Subie board. Or that WILL give me the excuse to head south and drag your azz back here.

So what did you get for a trade on your Skyline(Sorry that's the last chance I'll get to you for that)? Not trying to be personal just curious. EDIT I read the other thread.

Don't get that swollen a$s Subby head thinking you can go out there and run everything on the road just cause you have a turbo boxer an awd now.

The G is designed as a luxurytype car first. That is not the wrx, although you do now have weather band radio. I will say I think the look would grow on me but I have grown out of the boy racer phase..... I detect early onset mid life crisis.

Steve, I love that cat and the copy machine video. That was funny. If I was a cat, i would have done the same thing or worse to the copy machine.

It's not a mid life crisis.

I had a drug problem for 11 years. When you do copious amounts of drugs, it's like your maturity and life had it's "Pause Button" pressed. So to a degree, it's like I'm only 23. All the cool stuff I should have been doing at an earlier age, I am doing now.

Well Congrats.... and good luck with the suby!

I hang with some suby guys in the tampa area and all I can say is they are nothing like BMW guys...

Glad you have gotten over the drugs... that is hard to do but you will thank yourself years from now!

Congrats Beaner, I too had my share of struggles, and felt just great to have bought the car of my dreams, the american Nissan Skyline... While it's not an R34, it's still a great piece of a Japanese Legend that is the Skyline... I'm feeling your post for several reasons.

I know what it's like to feel the pause button. You almost see your life passing you by before you, and when you get things turned around, you still feel a certain emptiness than can only be filled with time with friends (real ones) family, and G flogging sessions. I think I mentioned several times before that I almost went ahead with a STI myself. This is a Nissan Infiniti forum, so you'll get biased answers no matter what.

You'll be able to tune/upgrade your turbo components, and then you'll have a real beast on your hands.

Sorry to hear about that buddy, not trying to pick at old wounds, I too have had some bad times(in my younger days) and know what your talking about. Glad things are all good for you now though.

Jacko~ I saw that video and I just had to share that. I have one similar to that, he is a 20lb Maine Coon so when he hits the printer things go flying.

lol I did the opposite, I had an 04 WRX and I switched to me G, def would never go back. I can't imagine not layin back in the coupe. Also RWD>AWD, AWD is too boring unless you got snow

but 09 should be fun with the extra horses, that that baby modded up

I think he sees a bit of snow.

Congrats Beaner on your new ride!! When looking for a used car for my sister several years ago I happened upon a Suby and checked it on Consumer Reports. I had no idea it was rated so high! From what I've read, they have one of the best AWD systems available.

Looks like a fun ride even in the snow!

With my daughter at ASU, I'm now regretting not getting a G35X......

I have her up to 565 miles. 56% of the break-in is over... I can't wait until I can actually drive her. Shifting before 4k RPM's is FTMFL. Just when the turbo starts to spool up (3k RPM), it's on to the next gear.

So far the number 1 rod bearing hasn't spun, so that is a good thing. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

Nice new sig pic Beaner...I'll be the first to admit...i's not as bad looking as I thought. Probably fun to drive once she's broken in.

Hmm...I think when summer hits..just for sh*ts and giggles I'll go test drive yours and a Cobalt SS
