My dome light and front foot well lights wont turn off. I turn off the car, close all doors, hit the lock button on the fob, the corner lights flash twice, doors lock, and all lights go out, then i hear a click and the dome light and foot well lights come back on.

I hit lock again, they blink off and blink back on.

There has to be a short somewhere, or a bad interior light controller module or whatever its called.

Any of you guys have this problem?

Sounds strange. Have you checked the door switches, to see if any of them are broken? I know it is an obvious question.

I have posted the test procedures for the body control module before. Try a search for window or lock troubles.

The lights have turned off for now. It must be a short or bad sensor somewhere.

The display screen says all doors are closed (OK is written on the screen). Footwell lights and dome light still on. If i turn on the left turn signal, the foot\dome lights blink with the turn signal. This is really wierd.

Somehow the left turn signal is linked to the dome lights and foot lights. When i turn the round dimmer knob to full brightness then click it over to turn on the interior lights, the red\white door lights come on and the display screen says (door open), but all doors are closed.

Something is grounding somewhere. Try opening each door one at a time and then push the "door pin" in and see if you can make the lights dim/flicker by wiggling it.

I agree with Jeff- It's time to go to your FSM and read up on the LAN communication diagnosis starting on page EL-48. No tools required, in most cases it's just a combination of turning the ignition switch on and off and pressing the defrost button a number of times and then watching interior lights flash the error codes.

The BCM (body control module) Jeff refers to monitors the function of all the cars switches (and more) and the LAN diagnosis should tell you where the problem is. There's too much detail on running the tests to put in a post but it will become clearer by reading the FSM. Good luck.

The car did new, it would have been in the tray above the spare tire, most likely (assuming used) it didn't stay with the car when it was sold. You "may" try the rear parcel shelf bin, some have found it hiding in there.
