Uh Oh.......10A fuel pump fuse keeps blowing!

Hey everyone 1990 Maxima se 5 speed here and i have a little problem i hope. My battery died so i replaced it started up then died. Checked the fuses and the 10A fuse for the fuel pump keeps blowing i replace it and the cars starts then dies again when the fuse blows. What could be causing this?

Sounds like a short circuit somewhere after the fuse but before the pump.

You also might want to search through the archives for a problem of the same nature, I just gave you my suggestion on what I thought it was. Who knows, I could be wrong...

I went through the archives in the technical section and found similar questions but no definitive answers. Anyway thanks for taking the time, im a newbie!
