Bernhard said Palin would be "gang-raped by my big black brothers" during a diatribe in which she also criticized Palin for opposing abortion rights.

Apparently, the hag has her own website, but I'm not interested in looking at it, because I'm not sure what context you could put that in that would make it even remotely acceptable.

The media tends to take things out of context with everyone when it serves them (more readers/viewers). For all I know, it could have been said exactly as its stated. I'm merely pointing out that she seems to be claiming it was taken out of context. I'd just prefer to see the facts before passing any judgement.

Not that she matters in this election, but is it any different than taking any of our presidential candidates out of context?

I did a quick search and couldn't find a video or transcript of what was said. But from reading over a few articles I ran across in the search, my impression is that the point she was trying to make was about the decision Palin would make about abortion if she was raped and had to bring a resulting child into the world...

Not sure if that was the case, but I do feel it at least warrants further investigation before we simply pass judgement. You can of course still hate her, but its always easy to pass negative judgements on those we dislike...

Even IF Palin had said something patently absurd (which she didn't), there's never a circumstance in which saying someone would be "gang-raped by my big black brothers" could be remotely appropriate.

Then again, what can you expect from someone who's got no real talent and who's still living off the hubbub created when she dallied with Madonna.
