Ugly lower door seals

Just bought a 2000 anniversary edition q45 and the car is beautiful with the exception of the used to be clear lower door seals the stick out below the door. I was thinking of just cutting them back but I was wondering if that was going to really make a difference in cabin noise... Any opinions or ideas?

pictures of said clear seals would help. I do not recall clear seals being an OEM application on those cars.

They hang on the lower door trim piece all the way around the car. You can see in the picture the discolored line esp below the drivers door...

I was wondering the same thing while I was washing my car yesterday. You can see those rubber seals really well in this picture. They are the off colored pieces between the door and the lower sill of the car. (This is not my car, just a good picture I found).

Maybe they are meant to be that way now that they are so uniform.

After looking at both pictures, I still see nothing worth complaining over?

I circled the area in question. Looking at those rubber pieces... they are a part of the lower exterior trim on the lower door panels.

Like in this picture, my rubber seals are stained and are definitely an eye sore.
