2003 tricked out M45 going for less than G35s. Is this M the new under appreciated J? I'm thinking so. 50% more car for the same or less price? Drove one. Very J like but with the power the J always merited.

I think this is an awesome deal!

Two years ago, I got my 2003 M45 (admittedly barebones) for less than a loaded G35 Coupe (which were selling well.) The car is great ... and I have done some comparisons between the M45 and the G35 sedan (which is what I went to the dealer to get) when I got one as a loaner for normal service.

Definitely.

The 03 M is the new J.

Should have a cultish following in less than a decade.

Ugly Gangsta Duck? Thats pretty funny, havent heard that before...

I gotta say, seems like I notice the earlier model Ms more these days, and really like them. It is a unique design definately, and knowing all that power in there is pretty sweet.

Yup! That is why I like them. They are few and far between, but instantly recognizable on the street.

Last week, I was with my 7-year old son in my wife's car (has the bike carrier on the back and we coming back from biking) and we saw a 2003 silver M45. My son called out excitedly: "Hey, there is another M45 - silver just like yours ... oh, it's Mom!" My wife was running some errands!
