so, i just bought a 93 240sx and driving home the signal lights when turned on would change speed randomly. somtimes would be blinking fast, then slow down, etc.. now i have no signals at all. when i try to signal i get nothing, no lights on dash or even the ticking noise either.

i've replaced all the bulbs, checked all the fuses and replaced the flasher relay but still nothing is happening.

I don't know what else to do as i have basically no experience when it comes to electrical stuff. maybe it could be the wiring, but like i said, i know nothing about electrical stuff so I don't even know what to look for or where the wires are located. is there a diagram somewhere?

If all your other lights are working (low/high, running lights, etc), then it's probably the hazard switch.

my hazards work though, so wouldn't that rule out the hazard switch?

Not necessarily. The turn signals are tied to the hazard switch. Pull it out, and they stop blinking completely. The lighting switch doesn't moderate the blink rate, the hazard switch does.

well...... i figured it out. previous owner had the wire going to the fuse box attached with electrical tape, can't believe i missed that.
